One thing that students love to do is to use social studies worksheets to help them develop their social awareness. This is especially important for children that are left-handed. Lefties love to use social studies sheets because it allows them to identify the different people they come into contact with regularly. For instance, if a person is surrounded by many people who all speak a different language, such as French, German, English, Japanese, or Spanish, they may quickly become aware of the differences and similarities between each of the languages. This awareness will help them to become more receptive to other people and cultures.

Learning facts and studying for tests are essential parts of this course, but it does not mean that students can only use words that are already learned. Sometimes it is easiest to make new vocabulary words a part of their study sessions. When you give students work related assignments that require them to write a research essay, write a narrative, create a definition, or write a poem, they must take the time to think about the meanings of these words before they fill in the blanks on the assignment. During the seventh hour, they should go back and revise their essay once more in order to check for spelling and grammar errors. Students should also read aloud the poem or research essay that they are working on, just to make sure they have understood every word that they have written. They should spend the entire time thinking about each word in order to make sure they understand it completely.
